The Azure Spring or Sol Cool ice cream factory officially opened on Wednesday 22 April 2026 at Mamara Northwest Guadalcanal Constituency, Tandai Ward.

The factory opening brings hope to families, strengthens local industry, and encourages future investment in Guadalcanal Province. Many residents welcomed the development and look forward to new opportunities in the community.

The opening marks a significant milestone for the investor and local people as it creates new job opportunities. Manager Gaosu Jie said the project was supported by the National Government, Provincial Government and Mamara Metropolis Management. She said, from planning to completion, strong government support made the factory possible.

The factory can produce up to 10 tonnes of edible ice per day and 1000 blocks of industrial ice daily, each weighing 5 kilograms. It also produces beverages and milk tea to support a full food and drink supply system. Advanced water purification systems from Germany ensure safety and high quality products from the source. Azure Spring Company Limited said it aims to meet international hygiene standards.
