Ghumu Footpath Officially Handed Over to Community

A vital rural access project co funded by the People’s Republic of China (PRC) and the Ngella Constituency was officially handed over today to the people of Ghumu village, marking a major boost for safe travel, community connectivity, and local economic activity.
The Ghumu Footpath Project, constructed through swamp terrain and dense forest, now provides a durable pedestrian pathway linking Ghumu to nearby villages, schools, health facilities, and markets.

The new access route is expected to significantly improve daily movement for women, youth, farmers, and elderly community members.
During the handover ceremony, representatives from PRC and Ngella Constituency highlighted the importance of partnership driven development, noting that the project demonstrates how targeted investments can directly uplift rural communities.
