Chief Executive Officer of Solomon Power, Delilah Kekea Homelo, has reminded staff that strong values are the foundation of their work and service to the nation.

Speaking at the Solomon Power Network Guardian Day 2026 held today, she said the organization is guided by clear principles: respect, improvement through change and innovation, meeting service quality commitments, caring for the environment, taking individual responsibility, and practicing honesty, trust, and teamwork.

“These values are not just words on a poster or in the annual report — they’re expectations,” she said.

Homelo stressed that the company’s vision, “energizing our nation,” begins with its people. “We cannot energize a nation if we do not first energize our values,” she said. “So today, I ask each of us to commit ourselves to integrity, to honesty and trust in our work, in our decisions, and in how we represent Solomon Power.”

She also took time to recognize the often unseen sacrifices made by families of workers who respond to emergencies at all hours.

“Thank you for the meals that go cold. Thank you for the birthdays, the weekends, and the quiet moments you sacrifice so your loved one can restore power for someone else’s family,” she said.

The CEO acknowledged the dedication of network guardians and reminded management of their responsibility to provide proper tools, resources, and training so staff can work safely and effectively.

Homelo said every technical team member plays an important role and deserves recognition.

“Today we stand together as one workforce, one team, one family — one group of network guardians,” she said.

She added that across the country, workers continue to plan, build, repair, and protect the network, often in difficult conditions, ensuring electricity reaches homes and communities every day.
