A total 90 COVID 19 patients have fully recovered and have returned negative results in their last COID 19 test.
Minister of Health and Medical Services Dr. Culwick Togamana announced in his daily COVID 19 updates.
“In terms of recovery total of 90 NRH staff including 17 patients at NRH and Central Field Hospital have returned negative results in their last COVID-19 test.”
These patients have been in Isolation facility and those self- isolating at home.
Minister Togamana further stated, the Ministry of Health and Medical Services will be submitting discharge protocol to the COVID 19 Oversight Committee for endorsement for these former patients who have since fully recovered and are now COVID 19 free.
Meanwhile, 236 new cases have been registered yesterday.
The cumulative total number of COVID-19 cases registered against the country now stands at 2,167.
Total case count as of today, Malaita 97, Western Province 60, Isabel 16, Central Province 17, Guadalcanal 42 and Honiara 1935
COVID-19 tests using the Rapid test kit will commence for the remaining provinces, said Minister Togamana.
