AFTER losing the recent national election for the Aoke/Langalanga constituency in Malaita province, Solomon Islands Kadere Party (SIKP) candidate Vincent Anisi Talauburi has called for unity among the people of the constituency.
In a statement posted on social media, Talauburi expressed his gratitude to all his supporters and those who voted for him in the election. He also congratulated the winner and re-elected Member of Parliament (MP), Matthew Wale, and vowed to work together with him for the betterment of the constituency.
“On behalf of his family, he congratulates the re-elected Member of Aoke/Langalanga Constituency, Honourable Mathew Wale Cooper, for the good people of Aoke/Langalanga have spoken and said, Mathew Wale truly deserved to lead them again,” Talauburi wrote in a Facebook post.
Talauburi emphasized the importance of unity and cooperation among the people of Auki/Langalanga, regardless of political affiliations. He urged his supporters to accept the outcome of the election and move forward with a spirit of unity and reconciliation.
“I encouraged all the losing candidates and supporters to work together with the re-elected Member of Aoke Langalanga Constituency, Honourable Mathew Wale Cooper, for the next 4 years on ‘United We Stand and Divide We Fall’.
“God bless Aoke/Langalanga Constituency and God bless Solomon Islands,” he said.
Talauburi, along with his family and campaigning team for the Aoke/Langalanga Constituency, also expressed gratitude to God for His unwavering blessing and protection during his campaign.
He also pledged to continue to serve the people of the constituency in whatever capacity he can and to work towards achieving the development goals of the community.
