The Institute of Public Administration and Management [IPAM] in the Ministry of Public Service, opens up its 2025 training year with a training for its Associate Trainers, from various ministries. IPAM implements the Adult Learning model, and it has Associate Trainers to provide expertise in the various trainings or courses.

Associate Trainers are public officers who are engaged with IPAM, to deliver courses under the IPAM annual training program or the IPAM prospectus. They therefore need the skill, knowledge and competency to carry out training for the participants. IPAM has its standards to ensure all the Associate Trainers follow, when engaging or delivering the sessions or training with quality and excellence.

The course is being facilitated by the Corporate Learning and Development Unit Manager (Ag), Bill Hana. Speaking on behalf of the participants, Joseph Hangi, of the Ministry of Commerce, Labour and Immigration, thanked the government and the Ministry of Public Service for building their skills to be effective Associate Trainers, and they are confident to support IPAM training within their areas of expertise. He expresses that this skill and knowledge can also be used in their workplaces.

The training commenced from the 3rd to the 5th of February 2025. A total of 16 new Associate trainers were certified.
