STAKEHOLDERS of the Taheramo clinic on Ulawa Island in the Makira Ulawa province says that they are very happy indeed to witness the handing over of medical drugs donated by the Fielders Industry Company General Manager to the Taheramo clinic in the North Ulawa ward.
Giving her short speech during the short handing over ceremony held at the Taheramo clinic today morning, the Taheramo clinic vice chairperson, Mrs. Nester Polamo says that on behalf of the clinic committee and the people of the North Ulawa ward in the Makira Ulawa province, she would like to convey to the management of the Fielders Industry company her committee’s gratitude for this wonderful assistance they have given to the people in the catchment area of Taheramo clinic.

“This is indeed a very welcoming and good news for the clinic committee for such generosity from the Fielders Industries management to render such assistance for our clinic here.” She says.
Mrs. Polamo also thanked Fr. John Tahieu who is being instrumental behind making this assistance to come this far.
Another speaker, Mr. Simon Sutara who represents the chiefs in the North Ulawa ward says that he is very happy indeed to attend this ceremony and says that this is indeed a blessing for his people in the North Ulawa ward as medicines are so expensive now a days if you are to buy it.
“I stand here today on behalf of the chiefs in the Taheramo clinic catchment area to convey our sincere appreciation to the Manager of the Fielders Industries Company for his good heart to assist our people with these medicines.” He says.
“I am very happy that we have received such assistance as such things don’t come easy and I am grateful to witness myself that out there, someone with a caring heart is there and is ready to assist our people here on Ulawa”, Mr. Simon Sutara says.
The General Manager in his short address conveyed by Fr. John Tahieu during the short ceremony says that he is happy to assist the people of Ulawa because of the fact that Ulawa Island is quite isolated and says that his heart is with the people.
“He told me to let you know that even though this gift is so small, but he says that people needs medicines and he also adds that he is humbled to have helped those who are in need of medicines and he hopes that he will one day come around for a visit in the near future,” Fr. John Says.
Fr. John said that he as one community member who is accessing Taheramo clinic says that he too is very happy to help out in making this assistance this far.
The medicines arrived on Friday 19th November on Lc. Loko iola and was successfully handed over to the Taheramo Nurses today morning witnessed by Stakeholders and people from the North Ulawa ward.
