BISHOP for the Anglican Church of Melanesia’s Diocese of Guadalcanal Province, Reverend Benedict Loe has called on parishioners of North West Guadalcanal region to be instrumental players in their faith as Christians.

Reverend Benedict Loe made the call in his sermon to hundreds of Anglican worshippers who have gathered for the Holy Eucharist Mass at the Saghalu’s St John Parish, North West Guadalcanal.

It was his first visit (Familiarisation Tour) to the region since elected as the second bishop for the Anglican Church of Melanesia’s Diocese of Guadalcanal Province in November, last year (2020).

Reverend Benedict reminded Anglicans to be dedicated to their faith and uphold the traditional values of unity within the Church.

Reverend Benedict Loe made the call in his sermon to hundreds of Anglican worshippers who have gathered for the Holy Eucharist Mass at the Saghalu’s St John Parish, North West Guadalcanal.

“All of us, must play the Christian game and it includes all of us, since nobody is a spectator in the game, we are all registered to share in faith the Holy Sacrament of baptism and confirmation, so it’s very risky if we do not play our responsibilities as Christians in the Diocese of Guadalcanal,” the bishop said.

His familiarisation tour to the region was celebrated by the Anglicans on 31 October.

The colorful celebrations were graced by Honourable Premier of Guadalcanal Province, Francis Sade, Provincial Assembly Member for Diudui Ward, South Guadalcanal, Honourable, John Stewart, local chiefs and church elders from North West Guadalcanal, and Anglicans communities from Kongulai to Vila.
