SOLOMON Islands Planned Parenthood Association (SIPPA) welcome new Executive Director Mr. Jack Martin who is from Makira Ulawa Province.
He is an accomplished development professional with over two decades of experience specializing in working with marginalized groups and communities, particularly in the Pacific region. Holding a Post Graduate Diploma in Diplomacy and International Affairs from the University of the South Pacific, Jack has been instrumental in designing and managing programs focused on child and youth development, capacity building, and behavior change approaches for vulnerable populations.
His expertise extends to peer education, where he has successfully adapted and implemented models that have been adopted regionally by a number of organizations.
Jack’s work in the Solomon Islands and the broader Pacific region includes managing complex projects, coordinating regional advocacy events, and developing training frameworks that address key issues such as community development and public health. He has also been published in peer-reviewed journals for his contributions to effective peer education in HIV prevention.
Beyond his professional achievements, Jack is also a certified PADI Dive Master with extensive experience in recreational diving and underwater rescue training, reflecting his deep connection to the Pacific’s natural environment.
