Only the top of ‘Koloe footbridge’ construction at Northeast Choiseul, is left to be patched with roofing irons and it should be ready to be open for public usage.

Roofing irons should be arriving at Koloe Village, Katario Ward 13, on MV Nuatabu’s next trip confirmed a report from Northeast Choiseul.

The purpose of the footbridge is to have easier access between the two sides of Koloe village being divided by a stream.

The expected footbridge according to former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Katario Ward 13 Hon Ronald Zakele is funded under ‘Ward Grant’, costing $110,000.00.

It is understood that the footbridge is a continuous part of Mr Zakele’s Ward development plans before Choiseul Province provincial Assembly term concluded around two months ago.

“We are only waiting for roofing irons to arrive on the next trip by MV Nuatabu before completing the footbridge and handing it over for the people of Koloe,” said Zakele to Isles Media early this week.
