A new primary school classroom building for Koloe at Katario Ward 13, Northeast Choiseul province, has been constructed and completed, waiting for its handing over in June.
Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Katario Ward 13 Hon Ronald Zakele speaking to Sunday Isles explain that the classroom building is funded under Provincial Capacity Development Fund (PDCF), worth $868, 000.00.
Mr. Zakele said it is a first for the Koloe community to receive such classroom PCDF funding on which their people are happy about this development for the benefit of their community in the future.
“People of Koloe are very happy to be having a complete primary classroom funded by the PCDF, as the classroom is now complete,” said Zakele.
“Assessment has already been done, and through a final check, it has been passed, the construction was a job well done. As the building is now complete, we are ready for the handing over of the classroom.
“The development is owned by the people of Koloe community so that is one our great joys, an achievement of the people of Koloe.”
It is understood that apart from the new primary classroom building, a new footbridge funded under ‘Ward Grant’ is also constructed underway at Koloe Village purposely for easier access between the two sides of the village that is divided by a stream.
The footbridge costing $110,000.00 is part of Hon Zakele’s Ward development plans as the footbridge is expected to be completed in June.
