A weeklong retreat is held for catholic priests at the Buma Parish in West Kwaio, Malaita province.
48 catholic priests from the Diocese of Auki, Malaita province, and Archdiocese of Honiara attended the spiritual program.
The annual retreat program is important for our catholic spiritual leaders; a need to make time for themselves to reaffirm their strength and faith in God through prayer and thanksgiving.
Buma Catholic Parish Priest Fr. Desmond Firibo said the retreat program happens every end of the year.
“Every end of each year, we have to do a retreat program. This is when we the priests have to reflect on our work as priests.
“When we look back, it will also strengthen our faith to preach and spread the word of God,” Fr Desmond said.
