According to project officials, the towers will be built at Mwaraja in South Ulawa and Mwajoa in West Ulawa, two strategic locations that will allow communication signals to cover parts of the island which did not have access to the Our Telekom towers at Ripo and Su’u moli once the installations are completed.

The arrival of materials signals that construction work will begin soon, bringing renewed hope to residents who have long struggled with poor or unreliable network access. When fully operational, the new towers are expected to significantly enhance mobile and internet communication for households, businesses, schools, and emergency services across Ulawa.

Community leaders have welcomed the development, saying improved communication will boost economic activities, support education, and strengthen safety for travellers and villagers.
