Over 15,000 COVID-19 tests has been done to date, the majority at done at the National Referral Hospital (NRH) molecular laboratory, and some at Gizo hospital laboratory.
This was revealed by the Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare in his nationwide address on Tuesday 7th September.
Prime Minister Sogavare said based on the lockdown review there is a need to expand the space and manpower in the molecular laboratory as well as provincial laboratories.
He said GeneXpert machines have been deployed to provincial laboratories.
