Australia Awards Alumni Support Grants are now open!
Australia Awards Solomon Islands has announced a grant opportunity for Australia Awards Alumni, offering funding to implement impactful projects that benefit communities across Solomon Islands.
Grants of up to AUD5,000 are available for individual alumni, and up to AUD10,000 for groups. Additional funding is also available for projects that partner with an Australian organisation, university, or individual – up to AUD3,000 for individual applications and AUD5,000 for group applications.
These grants aim to support alumni-led initiatives that:
- Promote innovative ideas and community events such as workshops, seminars, and conferences
- Build capacity and improve socio-economic wellbeing, particularly for marginalised communities
- Advance gender equality, disability inclusion, and social inclusion
- Establish Communities of Practice (COPs) aligned with Solomon Islands’ development priorities
Construction-related initiatives are not eligible for funding.
This is a fantastic opportunity for alumni to bring their ideas to life and contribute to the development of Solomon Islands.
Anyone who has studied in Australia or in the Pacific under the Australia Awards Scholarship, can apply. Applications are open until 22 September 2025.
An online information session for interested alumni will be held on 28 August 2025 from 12:00pm to 1:00pm.
