Today, the Choiseul Province celebrates 35 years of unity and progress at the National Auditorium in Honiara.
The day began with the gathering of Lauru people and the arrival of distinguished guests, including MPs, chiefs, and church leaders.
The ceremony includes the blessing and raising of the national and provincial flags, accompanied by hymns and a moment of reflection led by Reverend Kedrick Kasa.
Mr. Pitakia delivered an address, reflecting on the Second Appointment’s significance and the future of Lauru.
