GIVEN ‘indefinite closure’ of schools that still stands, school Teachers are advised to remain at their current residing places until they are advised to move.

This is according to the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development (MEHRD) Deputy Secretary (DS) James Bosamata during yesterday’s Coronavirus (Covid-19) Talk-Back show hosted.

According to Mr Bosamata, the message is for all school Teachers whether in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Primary, Secondary, TVET and Instructors, all are to remain where they are at this present.

“Teachers if wherever you are residing at currently, maybe at your school or at your village, your message is you remain where you are until you are advised to move,” said Bosamata.

“All Teachers in the country that is ECE, Primary, Secondary, as well as TVET Teachers and instructors, you are to remain where you are. That is the very important message for Teachers.”

MEHRD’s Deputy Secretary also clarifies that the present indefinite closure experienced in the country is for all schools in the country and not only for Honiara.

Bosamata in the meantime, urged school teachers and students in the country between the ages 12 to 18 to get their Coronavirus (Covid-19) Vaccination.
