LC ADI WAITUI is on a normal schedule trip for Central Islands Province (CIP) this week.

The vessel left the provincial capital at Tulaghi this afternoon, Wednesday, for Honiara and will be expected to return to CIP on Saturday.

Under its operational license, it is understood according to CIP’s Provincial Emergency Operating Centre (PEOC) that LC ADI WAITUI will only need an exemption to enter and leave Honiara.

“LC ADI WAITUI has its CIP operational license and only to enter and leave Honiara will it need an exemption,” explained the PEOC of the province.

The vessel’s schedule comes as good news for the province since food supply is one of the main concerns of the populace during these times of Coronavirus (Covid-19) situation.

For any queries regarding cargoes, the public is advised to contact Douglas Logistics.
