Governor-General, His Excellency Sir David Vunagi has commended Prime Minister Hon. Manasseh Sogavare for skilfully navigating the country’s way safely through current perilous and unprecedented times.
The Governor-General His Excellency Sir David Vunagi congratulated the Hon. Prime Minister and the Democratic Coalition Government for Advancement for the sound leadership and judgement of critical decisions for the country and its people amidst the current COVID 19 community transmission and the riots last November.
“Thank you, Honourable Prime Minister for your leadership over the last 12 months. It has not been easy but you have stood firm during this global pandemic and the November riots,” stated His Excellency Sir David.
Sir David said Prime Minister Sogavare survived a motion of no confidence. This is a testament of the support the Prime Minister has in the government.
“May God continues to protect, guide and bless you as you lead our people and country forward,” stated the Governor-General.
The Governor-General has faith in the Prime Minister and the National government that together we will uphold our country’s motto of leading our country by serving it.
Sir David encouraged the nation to remain united with the Prime Minister and government to continue our common fight against COVID-19.
