CIP Assembly Passes 10M Budget

CENTRAL Islands Province’s new provincial government ‘Executive’ members under the new Premier Hon Polycarp Galaigu are expected to be ‘sworn in’ by next week Monday.

Confirming this is Central Islands Province’s (CIP) Hon Speaker Francis Moah as their provincial Assembly is looking forward for their programs to resume.

According to Hon Moah for next week, the Provincial Planning Development Committee (PPDC) will meet first before the Executive and the Provincial Public Accounts Committee (PPAC) which will lead up to the tabling of the ‘Budget’.

“The Provincial Planning Development Committee will meet first before the Executive will meet. From there the Provincial Public Accounts Committee will meet before going back to the Executive to look into tabling the ‘Budget’.

“Our new Executive Government will be sworn in on Monday before all the meeting processes take place,” said Moah.

Early this week, CIP’s Clerk to Assembly Mr. Mathew Sale had already issued to their Members of Provincial Assembly (MPAs) that the ‘Assembly programs’ will resume again on July 25.

Russell and Savo MPAs are scheduled to be picked up this coming Saturday (tomorrow), July 23, while Ngella MPAs are to be picked up on Sunday 24.

Members of the PPDC are also said to be picked up this coming weekend to start the process of the Assembly.
