TWO big marijuana plants and nurseries were uprooted mid last week at Belagha Village, Northeast Small-Ngella, Central Islands Province.

Central Islands Province (CIP) Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Investigation Team received report of the marijuana plants when they stopped over at Belagha Village for a short visit, leading to the operation.

Provincial Police Commander (PPC) for CIP Superintendent David Soakai on behalf of his team warn communities that Marijuana is an ‘illegal plant’, and asks everyone in the province to work closely with the police to stop its activities.

“Police Investigation Tour Team on their way returning to Tulaghi stopped over at Belagha Village Northeast Small Ngella for a visit. However, upon arrival an elder of the village approached the police and led them to a site where Marijuana was planted,” said Soakai.

“The police team uprooted the two big plants and marijuana nurseries as the owner was not found then during operation.”
