MUCH awaited constructed footbridge at Koloe Village, Katario Ward 13, Northeast Choiseul Province is now completed and expected to be opened by the end of this month October.
The new footbridge construction is purposely to create easier access between the two sides of Koloe village being divided by a stream and it is funded under a ‘Ward Grant’ costing $110,000.00.
It will be opened along with the new primary school classroom building for Koloe that was completed earlier this year under the Provincial Capacity Development Fund (PCDF).
From expectations, both projects were expected to be completed and handed over earlier this year but due to some hiccups, they will finally be handed over to the people of Koloe by the end of this month.
Under the PCDF, Former member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Katario Ward 13 Mr Ronald Zakele explain that the classroom building is worth $868, 000.00.
“It is a first for Koloe to receive such classroom and footbridge funding on which the people are very happy towards the developments for the benefit of the community into the future,” said Zakele.
