The 2026 annual national trade fair officially opened today at the FOPA village, SINU in Honiara.
The week-long trade fair is being held under the theme “Innovating today for a sustainable greater Solomon Islands tomorrow.”
Speaking at the event in his keynote address, Minister of Commerce and Trade Hon. Harry Kuma said Hosting the annual trade fair is a testament to the great coalition’s commitment to developing and promoting micro, small and medium enterprises in the Solomon Islands.
Kuma said he stand with profound pride as he looks out at the talent of innovators, entrepreneurs and dedicated individuals.
“As the Minister of Commerce and Industry, I stand here with profound pride looking out at the talent of innovators, entrepreneurs and dedicated individuals striving to excel in this dynamic entrepreneurial landscape,” he said.
Speaking also at his welcome remarks, the Chairperson of the 2026 Annual National Trade Fair (ANTF) committee Mr. Moses Waririu said the trade fair is a platform for showcasing unity, creativity and potential of Solomon Islanders.
He said the event brought together businesses, investors, communities and development partners to share knowledge, build networks and explore new markets.

The event will run from 9-16 September 2026 providing an opportunity for local businesses, entrepreneurs, producers and stakeholders to show case their products services and innovations. The exhibition will be open to the public daily from 8am to 10:30pm.
The trade fair is expected to provide a platform for promoting local businesses. Encouraging innovation and supporting the growth of the private sector in Solomon Islands.
