THE recently elected Member of Parliament for West Kwaio Constituency, Honourable Claudius Teifi urged constituents residing in Honiara to set up their committee to pave a way forward to address their economic and development aspirations.
In a recent meeting held on 16, October 2022 at the Tandai Motel, West of Honiara, Hon. Claudius Teifi said constituents residing in Honiara, must work together to formalize the establishment of a committee to assist him to identify their immediate social, economic, and development needs.
He said that the establishment of the Honiara committee will assist his development plans, visions, and missions to improve and make the changes that will benefit every constituent of West Kwaio Constituency today and in the future.
“My vision is to ensure West Kwaio people residing in Honiara and in the rural village setting to establish respective committees within their own jurisdictions so that everyone can receive the same maximum benefit from whatever economic and development plans that are allocated by any government I serve in the future,” he told West Kwaio constituents attending the meeting.
Hon. Claudius said under the mission of my affiliated political party (United Party), everyone must come through the door and not through the window of the West Kwaio Constituency Office.
“To avoid constituents coming through the window, I want West Kwaio constituents residing in Honiara to set up their committee which will represent the voice,” he said.
