An entrance footbridge is to be constructed for improved access to Susuka Village at Katario Ward 13, Northeast Choiseul Province.

The footbridge material funding will be under the Northeast Choiseul Constituency Office as it has agreed on community request through their Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Katario Ward 13 Hon Ronald Zakele to look into assisting the development.

According to Hon Zakele, the community requested a ‘footbridge’ assistance after a deep drain was created at the main swampy entrance leading to Susuka Village.

The drain is dug by a bulldozer (Excavator) working on the swamp site in front of Susuka, purposely to fill soil for a playing field, and to shift the community school there.

“The drain is 10 meters long and 2 meters wide. As requested for a small footbridge, I have travelled with my Engineer to the ‘drain site’ last Friday who had carried out an assessment,” said Zakele.

“Material funding will be under the Northeast Choiseul Constituency Office as it has agreed to look into assisting this development.”
