MEMBER of Parliament for East Makira Constituency, Honourable Franklyn Derick Wasi, delivered a message of reflection, progress, and unity on the 41st Second Appointed Day of Makira Ulawa Province in Honiara.

Honourable Wasi stressed the significance of this occasion for reflecting on past events and challenges, urging the community to look forward and make amends for the betterment of the province and the country.

“May this occasion be a time of reflection on past events, the challenges, and let us look forward to making amends for the good of our province and country as a whole.

“Our people are our greatest assets, and it is our collective duty to make sure every individual has the opportunity to thrive,” he stated.

Over the years, Makira Ulawa Province has seen progress in various sectors, including education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development. However, Honourable Wasu acknowledged that there is still much work to be done.

“We have met some progress over the years in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and economic development, but there is still much work to be done,” he said.

He urged everyone to honour the past by striving for a brighter future, ensuring that every citizen can live with dignity, security, and hope.

 “As we celebrate the 41st Second Appointed Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to working together for the betterment of Makira Ulawa Province. Let us honour our past by striving for a brighter future so that every citizen can live with dignity, security, and hope,” he expressed.
