Schools, parents and candidates urged to note the official schedules
HONIARA, SOLOMON ISLANDS – The Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development (MEHRD) advises schools, education providers, candidates, parents and guardians that the official dates and times for the 2026 national examinations and the Solomon Islands Standardised Tests of Achievement (SISTA) have been confirmed.
The schedules cover SISTA for selected primary schools, the Solomon Islands Junior Secondary Certificate (SIJSC), the Solomon Islands School Certificate Level One (SISCL1), and the Solomon Islands School Certificate Level Two (SISCL2).
Key examination periods
- SISTA (selected primary schools only): Thursday, 29 October 2026.
- SIJSC: Tuesday, 27 October to Friday, 30 October 2026.
- SISCL1: Monday, 26 October to Thursday, 5 November 2026.
- SISCL2: Monday, 26 October to Friday, 6 November 2026.
Schools are asked to share the timetable widely and ensure candidates are present and prepared before each session. Reading time must be observed in accordance with the notes accompanying each timetable.

SOLOMON ISLANDS STANDARDISED TESTS OF ACHIEVEMENT (SISTA) 2026 For selected primary schools only

The SISCL1 Design Technology Common Assessment Task (CAT) must be completed during the two-week examination period, 26 October to 5 November 2026; schools should allocate appropriate time for students to complete the task.
