A total of 1428 students at the the Solomon Islands National University are graduating, receiving their Certificates, Diplomas, Degrees and Masters today.

Guest of Honour Hon. Tonzen Leokana_Minister of Education and Human Resources Development Reminds graduates that Education is not merely Personal advancement but it is the foundation for building a shared National future.

Hon. Leokana added graduating students, your achievements today are not just personal milestone, and they are truimps for our entire nation.  He said.

“It’s Diploma and Degree enriches the intellectual wealth of the Solomon Islands and strengthens our future.

“With the skills gained from our national University, graduating students can turn Challenges into Opportunities, create jobs, and grow our economy. They can Lead by example inspire their Communities and empower others to dream big and make a lasting impact”.

Speaking on this year’s theme, ” Charting New Horizons: Our Stories, Our Future “simply means your degrees open the door to new opportunities. The Solomon Islands needs your ideas and Leadership in Sustainable development, Climate Resilience Economic growth and Youth Employment, He said.

“Your future is connected to the future of the nation. By shaping your life, you help shape Solomon Islands. Leadership is not a Prevellege_ it is a responsibility. To lead is to serve.

“Your education is for yourselves, your families, your communities and your country. Serve with humility, Lead with Intergrity. Remain Lifelong Learners, Mentor Others, Selve Problems and Use your knowledge for the greeter good.

“On behalf of the Government, I congratulate the graduating class of 2025. May your Journey ahead be filled with Courage, Wisdom and Success.”

He then acknowledged those who have supported the graduating students.

“I extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Vice Chancellor, the Senior Mangament Team. All Deans of Faculties,Lecturers, and every member of the SINU Staff. Your Vision,Commitment and tireless efforts ensure that the University Continues to shape the future of our nation with excellence.

“To the Parents and Families thank you for your Saricfies. This day is also your triumph too.

“Education is no an Individual achievement but a Collective Investment.  Together let us chart New Horizons for a Stronger, Smarter and more Resilient Solomon Islands, he said.
