RSIPF CPP Officers Completed The Third Batch Of Training Conducted By The PRC Police

The third batch which consists of 21 Close Personnel Protection (CPP) officers of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) has completed two weeks of training on close protection.

The Very Important Person (VIP) training was conducted by the Peoples’ Republic of China (PRC) police instructors and was issued with certificates and excellent participants certificates.

The certificates were presented by the team leader of China Police Liaison Team (CPLT) Mr Zhang Guangbao, RSIPF NRD Director Mr Francis Ramoni, Deputy Director Mr Lionel Kapisa, and instructors of CPLT during the closing ceremony on Friday 22 July at Rove Police Headquarters.

National Respond Department Director Mr Francis Ramoni says, “These training programs are very professional, relevant and effective which was warmly welcomed by RSIPF. It is overwhelming and heartfelt to see that RSIPF receive training from one of the best police forces in the world.

Mr Ramoni says, “The Vision of the RSIPF is to be one of the best police forces in the region. This vision can be achieved through this bilateral partnership and the sincere friendship we had with the PRC through the Ministry of Public Security.”

The training aimed to improve these officers’ discipline consciousness, vigilance awareness, tactical skills, teamwork and capability when responding to emergencies. The training includes the drill posture, duty performance, alert and block, freehand skills, equipment skills, firearm handling, close protection tactics and others.

All the participants were assessed after the training and all of them have results. The training boosts the capacity and capability of RSIPF and provide strong support to the safety and stability of Solomon Islands.

CPLT has already conducted ten batches of training for RSIPF. More than 180 officers from different units have joined the training which was warmly welcomed by the RSIPF senior executives and frontline officers.

In the coming days, CPLT will uphold the spirit of transparency, inclusiveness, professionalism and high efficiency for the purpose of friendship and goodwill support to RSIPF to become the best police force in the region, promote long and stable bilateral law enforcement cooperation with Solomon Islands (SI) and make SI truly safe, peaceful and happy isles.
