CENTRAL Islands Province (CIP) citizens have the chance to transport their cargoes back to the province tomorrow on ship.

Marine vessel ‘LC ADIWATUI’ under exemption from the National Disaster Operation Committee (NDOC) will leave Tulaghi for Honiara at 5:00 am tomorrow to collect cargoes fuel, and other personal supplies for its citizens, business houses and organizations.

CIP citizens at Honiara are encouraged to standby with their supplies at Douglas Logistics, Ranadi area, as there will be no delay on the ships return to Tulaghi because a four days lockdown will be imposed starting 6pm tomorrow for the whole of Central Province.

“To all our citizens in GeRuSa, LC ADIWAITUI is now cleared to travel so it will leave for Honiara tomorrow morning 5:00 am. If you have cargoes and fuel or other personal supplies, please load them now [today] at the DL compound Ranadi. This is because there will be no delay on the ships return tomorrow to Tulaghi as the lockdown impose will be 6pm tomorrow for the whole of CIP.

“If you have cargoes for Yandina and Savo please load them now because the province PDOC is looking at routes for Yandina and Panueli as well, but if cargoes and fuels for Russell and Savo are not yet ready then maybe the next trip.

“There will be no site loading tomorrow for safety reasons so only today we can load,” A statement from CIP’s Provincial Emergency Operating Centre (PEOC) said.
