MEMBER of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for ‘Ward 2’ in Central West Ngella Ward, Hon Kenneth Sagupari has urged his people to adhere to Coronavirus (Covid-19) regulations of the country.

Experiencing the current situation of Covid-19 community transmission in the country is why Mr Sagupari strongly reminds his people to follow advices from the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS).

The people of Ward 2 at Central West Ngella are urged to limit movements to both Honiara and Tulaghi as it is advised for them to remain at their home villages given lockdown strategies for Honiara, and soon to be at Tulaghi.

“Our health and life are very important to keep as Covid-19 has no respect or limitation to infect whatever gender or backgrounds you come from. Covid-19 is not a joke to consider lightly,” said Sagupari.

“Please I urge all to stay safe at home and follow health advices.”

In terms of all Ward 2 programs, Mr Sagupari assure that they will be eventuated as soon as the Covid-19 situation goes back to normalcy.

“We all should be united in faith and prayer at this time for our families, villages, province and nation’s safety. For we all need each other in prayers during this time,” remind Sagupari.

“Also, call on the Covid-19 emergency number if one is feeling unwell from Covid-19 symptoms or call the nearest health centre. It is better to do early checkups than being late. Help safe lives by staying at home than causing problems for our families and others by transmitting the virus. God bless West Ngella, God bless Central Province and God bless Solomon Islands from shore to shore.”

For his Ward members currently residing at Honiara, the MPA for Ward 2 advises them to remain in the capital, and do not attempt to travel to their home province.

“Otherwise anyone might transmit the virus to our rural populace,” said Sagupari.

“Also those at Honiara should plan properly and manage the little they have to sustain them during the current lockdown period in the capital. Please respect rules of the Covid-19 issue by the ministry of health during this lockdown period.”

The provincial health authority of CIP is urged to travel around at Wards of the province in order to complete the Covid-19 vaccination roll out purposely for the protection of the people.

Meanwhile, the last roll out of Covid-19 vaccination for Tulaghi public and nearby communities was completed last week Friday, as it is understood that the health authority and other responsible authorities of CIP should be carrying out vaccination at all of the province 13 Wards in Ngella, Russell and Savo by this week.
