Construction has commenced on a new staff house at Sinamauri Clinic, an important development aimed at improving living conditions for frontline health workers in the region.

Located in Ward 28 of West Kwaio in Malaita province, the project is a collaborative effort between local authorities and AusAid, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure in rural communities.

Currently in Phase 1 of construction, the project is progressing steadily, with completion and official handover scheduled for November 2025. Once completed, the new staff house will provide much-needed accommodation for medical personnel stationed at the clinic, supporting their ability to deliver essential healthcare services to surrounding villages.

The Sinamauri Clinic Staff House Project is part of broader initiatives to strengthen the health sector in Malaita Province, ensuring that healthcare workers have the resources and support they need to serve remote populations effectively.

Local leaders have expressed appreciation for the partnership with AusAid and stressed the long-term benefits the project will bring to the community.
