EAST Guadalcanal Constituency is now connected with the rest of the world. This is following the installation of Satelite dishes from Sky Pacific which were installed around the constituency which will enable people to have access to Television and keep updated with happenings around the globe.
Over the weekend 11 satelite dishes were installed, 8 in the 4 wards which comprised of East Guadalcanal constitiency with a population of more than six thousand people.


The person who made it possible is their Member of Parliament Honourable Bradley Tovosia.
“The idea to install the satelite dishes came from my people, as you know the world cup is coming up and my people are soccer fanatics,as their leader I feel obliged to assist them to have the opportunity to watch the world cup. He said.
He said he is glad that the satelite dishes and televison sets provided to the 4 wards he looks after will enable people to watch their favorite teams play in th upcoming world cup.
Hon Braddley said it is about time changes are made to allow people to keep up to date with the rest of the world.
Sukiki chiefJohn Wesly described the assistance as a positive milestone for the communities.
“We are excited because it will not only enable us the elder people to enjoy watching TV from out homes but it gives an opportunity for students to also learn from other countries.” Chief John stated.
The satelite dishes and TV sets costs about 60K to 70K and is paid through the RCDF.
