“From the ends of the earth, we are connected with the God of Israel,” Jacob shared. “You make me feel at home. I feel so blessed to have come far from my country and to see people here worshipping the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. This was indeed very special for me.”

What made his visit even more remarkable was the sight of hundreds of Solomon Islanders—especially in Malaita—gathering to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the people of Israel.

Jacob’s attendance at the celebration was not planned, yet organizers and attendees alike believe it was no coincidence. Many viewed it as a divine orchestration aligned with God’s blueprint for His children.

Adding further significance to the occasion was the presence of Malaita Premier and church leader, Brother Robert Kau, who represented both the Provincial Government and the National Government.

“We give all the glory to God for this program,” said one of the event organizers. “He even took control of the weather and everything unfolded beautifully.”

The celebration of Sukkot—a biblical feast commemorating God’s provision and presence—served as a powerful reminder of the deepening spiritual ties between the people of Solomon Islands and the nation of Israel.

“Blessed be Your Name, Yahweh,” echoed through the gathering, as worshippers lifted their voices in reverence and thanksgiving.
