An ice cream factory is about to open in Mamara, Northwest Guadalcanal. It’s called Azure Spring (also known as Sol Cool), and it’s owned by a Chinese investor from China.

Azure Spring wants to make great ice cream. They picked Mamara because it’s clean and has fresh water, which is important for making ice cream.

Inside the factory

The manager, Mr. Casper Li, is thankful for the local government’s help. He says it’s been a tough journey, getting used to the climate and new surroundings. But they’ve worked hard and feel at home now.

Azure Spring will sell Popsicle and ice cream with different fruit flavors and milk-based options. Mr. Li says his favorite is lime because it’s so refreshing.

The company is building its own infrastructure and hiring a local team to make sure everything runs smoothly.

The factory will give jobs to people in Mamara and nearby areas. They also plan to help local schools and community events.

Azure Spring wants everyone in Solomon Islands to be able to enjoy their ice cream. They want to set a high standard for food safety.

Even though there have been challenges, the company has worked together to overcome them.

Mr. Li says they want to help Solomon Islands grow and will keep food safety a top priority. They want to do more than just business; they want to grow with the country
