The JCPU Fundraising Committee is pleased to announce that the John Coleridge Patteson University (JCPU) building at Central Guadalcanal is near completion.
During a site visit on Thursday, 28th August 2025, the JCPU Fundraising Committee was encouraged to see that the construction is now at its finishing stages, with full completion expected by the end of September 2025.
This progress is a true testament to the prayers, generosity, and support from church members, families, friends across the Dioceses and the Anglican Province. The sacrifices and contributions made are now bearing fruit, as the vision for JCPU becomes reality.
Work is ongoing to connect power and electricity to the building, while arrangements for water supply are already in place. Once completed, the building will provide space for administration and classrooms, supporting the mission of JCPU to prepare future leaders of our region.
The Project Planning and Implementation Committee (PPIC) has also met to discuss the next steps after the official inauguration of JCPU on 20th June 2025.
Key discussions are focused on the university’s structure and accreditation so that JCPU is fully recognized as a higher learning institution in the Pacific.
Support the Next Step – JCPU Bazzar
The JCPU Fundraising Committee once again calls on the general public, church congregations, and friends of ACoM to continue standing together in support of this important project.
The next big fundraising event – the JCPU Bazaar – will be held on Saturday, 13th September 2025 at the Saint Barnabas Cathedral Grounds.
Everyone is warmly invited to come, give support, and be part of this important journey of building a university of knowledge, faith, and service for our Region.
