MEMBER of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Katario Ward 13, North-east Choiseul Hon Ronald Zakele share his short and long-term development plans for his Ward.

For Susuka Village in North-east Choiseul, a school Staff House is in Mr. Zakele’s short-term development while a ‘bridge’ to cross over at Soranamola Village and a ‘market house’ for Koloe Village are his long-term development plans.

According to the MPA for Katario Ward, despite the current Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic adding hiccup to plans, his team must continue with their Ward development vision.

“For Susuka, a school Staff house will be built there according to our short-term development plan. That is for Susuka,” said Zakele.

“For schools surrounding Vuruleke River at Soranamola area that are always affected once the river floods, in our program of long term development plans, we will develop a bridge across that river as well.

“Such a project will need a huge amount of money so we will seek funding for it.

“Another long-term development plan is the Koloe ‘Market House’.

“For the past years, there has been no market house built at Koloe. So it has been marked coming through the Provincial Planning Development Committee [PPDC] and Assembly meeting for our long-term development plan that Koloe Market house will be developed as well.

“We are looking ahead for these positive developments to serve the interest of our people.”

It is understood that both the planned ‘bridge’ for Soranamola and the ‘market house’ for Koloe Village have already been considered through the PPDC committee and Assembly of Choiseul Province.
