Pacific media CEOs and owners have arrived in Tavanipupu Resort to convene the 2021 ‘Reporting on Integrity & Anti-Corruption in the Pacific’ Summit for Pacific Media CEOs and Owners which will begin tomorrow Wednesday 15 September.
This year’s Summit will only be the second one to be convened by Pacific Islands News Association (PINA), after the inaugural one was hosted by PINA members in Auckland, New Zealand in February 2019.
The summit was originally scheduled for last year 2020, however, the COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted MASI – Media Association of Solomon Islands’ – hosting of PINA’s Pacific Media Summit.
Solomon Islands media CEOs and owners will be able to engage in person at the Guadalcanal venue at Tavanipupu, and other national Pacific CEOs and owners will participate online from their respective countries.
PINA is the peak regional media organization in the Pacific, representing the interests of media professionals and links radio, television, newspapers, magazines, online services, national media associations (NMAs), and journalism schools in 23 Pacific countries.
