MICHAEL Salini, who recently won the seat of Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Central Islands Province, has promised to deliver on the expectations of the people in Tulagi Ward.

In an interview with SUNDAY ISLES, Salini expressed his gratitude to the residents of Tulagi ward for putting their trust in him and pledged to work tirelessly to address their needs and concerns.

He expressed his gratitude to his family, friends, and former colleagues for their congratulatory messages regarding his victory.

“It means a lot to me.

“I am humbled by the support and trust of the people who have elected me as their MPA. I promise to work tirelessly to deliver on their expectations and make sure that their voices are heard in the provincial assembly,” Salini said.

He expressed gratitude to his campaign team and supporters for their unwavering support and motivation in helping him win the election.

“I owe you a lot and will try my best to work hard to deliver on your expectations. It’s a commitment we make as a team, and we must do it together. To all my voters, thank you for believing in me. I made it clear during my campaign that I decided to contest because of you and our beautiful hometown of Tulagi. The capital of our beloved province.

“I take this responsibility with the greatest respect for the job and will ensure that I uphold the standard of integrity you expect of me. My greatest concern is to raise the standard of leadership in our province,’’ he said.

He pledged to not hesitate in times of trouble and will relentlessly strive to ensure his people receive the benefits they deserve.

“I will not shy away or back down when things go wrong, and I will fight to ensure that my people benefit from what they deserve.

“I will work closely with the local community to identify their needs and priorities and strive to bring about positive change in their lives. I believe in serving with integrity and dedication, and I will do everything in my power to deliver on the promises I have made to the people.

“I will jump on any available opportunity to achieve that. My greatest concern is your welfare and also the protection of what we have. That includes our resources, land, and people. Thank you again, everyone, for all your support. Long live the Central Islands Province,” Salini added.
