Pacific Partnership (PP) returns to Solomon Islands, continuing to build on a foundation established during previous missions.

PP 22 kicks off with a free band concert for the general public, performed by the Pacific Partnership band, Aug. 30, 2022, at 5 p.m., in Unity Square.

The general public is invited to attend all public concerts performed by the Pacific Partnership 2022 band, which features members of the U.S. Pacific Fleet Band, headquartered in Hawaii.

In addition to band concerts, PP22 focus areas include:

–  Medical exchanges

–  Engineering projects

–  Outreach events in the community

–  Humanitarian assistance and disaster relief

Now in its 17th year, Pacific Partnership is the largest annual multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific.

Pacific Partnership is a unifying mission that fosters enduring friendship and cooperation among many nations. This year’s mission in Solomon Islands will include participants from the United States, Japan, and Australia.

The following Pacific Partnership Band concerts are free and open to the public:

Aug. 30, at 5 p.m: Unity Square – This concert features local bands UNIK 7 and Point of View (POV)

Sept. 1, at 3:30 p.m: Honiara Central Market

Sept. 2, at 6 p.m: Burns Creek Community Park

Sept. 3 at 11:00 a.m: Lawson Tama Stadium

The concert is free; however, there may be entrance fees for the game.
