PAPAZA tribe at Soranamola, Northeast Choiseul Province, is genuinely offering land for a Technical Vocational Education and Training School to be established in their territory.
It is the Papaza tribe’s wish for a Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) School to be established at Northeast Choiseul. This is so that more of their people especially the young generation can have nearer access to such institutions that will help them gain and equip knowledge and practical skills required in the global fields of work.
Former Member of Provincial Assembly (MPA) for Katario Ward 13 at Northeast Choiseul Mr. Ronald Zakele updating report said there has already been an agreement between the tribesmen and Chiefs as a ‘consent letter’ is said to be written for delivery to the mother education ministry.
“Earlier on around two weeks ago I approached the Papaza tribe at Soranamola and talked with all the tribesmen and Chiefs, and they have agreed that we will deliver a consent letter to the Ministry of Education and Human Resources Development [MEHRD]. This is to apply for a TVET vocational school to be established at Papaza Northeast Choiseul.
“The people and the Chiefs of Papaza tribe offering land for a TVET Vocational School to be set up is a good visionary move in the ‘area of education for the human resources in favor of development to a better society,” said Zakele.
