ROYAL Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) officers at Kira Kira in Makira Ulawa Province continue to roll out the crime prevention strategy to the communities in the Makira Ulawa Province.
The RSIPF community Policing Team in Kirakira conducted a one-day training for Asimanioha Community Crime Prevention Committee (CPC) members on the SARA model aimed at getting everyone to understand its importance.
Community Policing Team leader Police constable Audrey Suhata explains, “The SARA Model training is aimed to equip community leaders, in all sectors to familiarise themselves with the SARA tool to find lasting solutions to any arising problem in the community as the community is about to launch their By-law.”
“Community Leaders from Asimanioha have expressed their appreciation to the community Policing Team in assisting them with such an important training that will benefit the community since they continue to experience antisocial behaviors and there is a need to work together with the Police and other stakeholders,” PC Audrey adds
I would like to appeal to communities that had already finalized their By-laws to come forward and undergo SARA training before launching your community by-law.
