TULAGI Police in partnership with Central Island Province government administration have joined efforts to improve the main road in Tulagi, Ngella central Islands province.
“A big thank you to Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Tulagi and Central Province Government administration (CIPGA) efforts in starting off the improvements of the Tulagi road on 10-07-2022,’’ applaud Robert Manebona on behalf of the CIP people.
He said this is a volunteer base approach as a way forward by the CIP RSIPF in supporting road improvements in Tulagi Township as part of a police-community contribution.

“On the same note, a big thank you also to Douglas logistics for the machines and labour together with the CPG administration for the support behind the CP RSIPF initiatives with their local stakeholders within CIP,’’ he said.
“Thank you Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Mr Soakai and Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) Central Province (CP) for initiating the drive behind this idea,’’ said Robert.
He said the idea was initiated by RSIPF CP, together with the Police Commissioner on his visit to Central Province.
“From there Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Soakai carries forward the initiative with Douglas Logistics, CPG Administration and later the TTC which also give in hand to support this community-based contribution support approach,’’ said Robert.

He stated that why police initiated the initiative was because Police vehicles always run down with the current Tulagi Road status.
“ This is one main contributing factor as to why Tulagi Police is without a vehicle currently,’’ he told Isles Media recently.
He said that Police contributed 1x diesel drum while Douglas Logistics as a local investor in the Province supported it with its grader and labour.
He further said that the Central Province Government administration supported this initiative with 1x Road Roller, 1x Drum diesel with the TTC supplies coronas lime stone for compacting.
He said that currently other SOEs, private business houses and individuals have also voiced their interest to contribute whatever they can to this initiative.
