Wildlife Works Carbon (WWC) and the Ministry of Forestry on behalf of the Solomon Islands Government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Tuesday, 17 February 2026, at the Solomon Kitano Mendana Hotel in Honiara.

The agreement aims to strengthen conservation initiatives and enhance natural resource management nationwide, particularly within the REDD+ program.
The MOU emphasizes the importance of recognizing customary land rights and ensuring that landowners and communities are meaningful decision-makers and beneficiaries.

This collaboration marks a significant step towards a future where the Solomon Islands emerges as a leader in conservation and sustainable development
