A concerned man from the village of DingoDingo in east Kwara’ae, Bethuel Bako calls for Network improvement in the areas or Ward 15 in east Kwara’ae constituency in Malaita province.
Speaking to the SUNDAY ISLES in an exclusive interview, Mr Bako said since last year, they have been having network problem and have face difficulty in communication.

“We have had a very hard time in communication since the Telekom tower stopped working since last year,” he said.
Bako as a local entrepreneur said this is a big issue for the rural people.
“This is a big issue. Some of us we are rural famers and entrepreneurs and in this particular region that we live in is very far from the nearest provincial capital, Auki and so communication is very important,” he said.
“Currently we have to walk far distances to find a location where the network is reachable in order to give a call even when there is an emergency,” Bako said.

He also explained that, for mobile banking users such as MSELEN, this is an issue that have made it very hard to access money transferring.
“I am also an MSELEN customer and having this network as a problem has made it very difficult for me to transfer money to my children in schools and living in other places,” the concerned customer said.
Mr Bako said the issue is because of the Telekom tower that has stopped working since last year and have not been fixed.
“We are calling on the right responsible authority to please help address this issue, so that the flow of communication will be easy again for us rural people in this area,” he said.
