THE Tulagi Ward Development Committee officially handed over a newly constructed footwalk bridge to the residents of Zone 4 on Friday, marking a significant milestone in community development.

The bridge which is situated at the Central Islands provincial capital, Tulagi is expected to benefit over 300 residents and the general public who rely on the access road for daily movement.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Zone 4 Chairman Jasper Kuta expressed his gratitude to the Tulagi Ward Development Committee (WDC) for successfully completing the project. He emphasized the importance of the bridge, noting that it would greatly improve mobility and prevent residents from having to walk through dirty drain water.

In an interview with SUNDAY ISLES, Richard Sapia, Chairman of the Tulagi Ward Development Committee, highlighted that the project was part of the WDC’s annual work plan.

He extended his appreciation to Hon. Michael Salani for his dedication to working with the Tulagi community and the province as a whole.

Guest of honor Hon. Michael Salini encouraged Zone 4 residents to continue supporting and participating in community projects that bring long-term benefits. He underscored the importance of unity and cooperation in fostering development within the community.
